We speak with entrepreneurs all day long. We work directly with our clients that are on their way to starting their dream business. And we speak with potential clients who are still looking to evaluate their situations and determine whether or not they want to move forward.

I’ve heard all types of reasons and excuses of why entrepreneurs don’t move forward. Trust me… I think I have literally heard them all. One of the ones I hear most often is that their spouse doesn’t want them to move forward. Sometimes these concerns are certainly valid, and sometimes, they are simply driven by fear.

The number one thing to do is talk and communicate. Rick Bisio wrote a fantastic column on Entrepreneur about how to speak with your spouse about it. It is important that you are on the same page, whether you agree to start or agree not to. In most cases, I think most entrepreneurs would move forward if they had an engaging conversation with their spouse about their concerns. Mr. Bisio provides some fantastic tips in his article, which in my opinion, is a must-read if this is something that you are struggling with.

Open and honest communication sure can get you a long way!

And if you and your spouse come to an agreement to get started, we’ll be here ready for you.
