If you’re a true entrepreneur, you know that your time is more valuable than anything else. There are only 24 hours in a day, and whether you are a startup company scraping by or operating a multi-billion dollar company, you get the same time as everybody else.  It’s how you use it that makes all the difference.  Here are the three primary reasons you should put significant value on your time.

You’ll Never Get it Back

It seems obvious (and it is), but it’s 100% true. If you waste a minute, a day, a week, you’ll never get it back.  There is always somebody else working, so all of the time you waste is time that somebody else is getting ahead.

It Only Takes a Couple of Minutes to Take a Big Step Forward

All minutes are not created equal. There will be several minutes or hours in your business career that will catapult you forward.  As an entrepreneur, you need to take time to think and to look at the big picture.  If you waste time and are only able to focus on daily operations, you’ll never grow to your potential.

You Can Focus on Your Core Business

Many entrepreneurs are good at a few things. And when I say good, they are really, really good.  Good enough that they should spend their day doing those things and outsource the rest.  As an entrepreneur, understand the value of your time.  If somebody else can do it, let them do it and don’t micromanage.  Focus on your key competencies and continue to work efficiently.
